PORTLAND, Ore. (AP)—Kyle Bullinger scored 17 of his 22 points in the second half, lifting Weber State to an 80-66 win over Portland State on Thursday.
Damian Lillard added 14 points for Weber State (8-7, 2-1 Big Sky Conference), which snapped Portland State’s 18-game conference winning streak.
Andre Murray and Dominic Waters had 16 points apiece for Portland State (12-5, 3-1). Jeremiah Dominguez added 11, but shot just 4-of-14 from the field.
Weber State broke open a close game with a 6-0 run that put the Wildcats ahead 65-57 with 6:45 left. The Wildcats stifled the Portland offense down the stretch, limiting the Vikings to one field goal in the final 4:37.
Bullinger went 5-for-5 from 3-point range and the Wildcats as a team shot 11-of-23 from that distance. Weber State also connected on 19-of-21 free throws and committed only nine turnovers.
