Hartford defeats Albany, NY., 64-54

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP)—Morgan Sabia scored 16 points and added six rebounds as Hartford defeated the University of Albany, N.Y., 64-54 on Saturday.

Sabia scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half. Jaret von Rosenberg and Michael Turner also finished in double figures, adding 13 and 11 points respectively for Hartford (5-9).

Will Harris led all scorers with 17 points for Albany (8-6) and added a game-high 10 rebounds.

Albany led 10-3 in the first quarter until the Hawks went on a 13-2 run to take control. The teams traded the lead, with Hartford ahead for most of the second half and Albany staying within striking distance.

Albany pulled to within one point with 11:07 left to play, but Hartford closed the game with a 9-0 run fueled by back-to-back three-pointers by Sabia.
