BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP)—D.J. Rivera scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Binghamton to a 73-71 win over Marist in a non-conference game Tuesday.
Reggie Fuller added 16 points and 15 rebounds for the Bearcats (7-4), who have won three in a row and six of their last eight games. Malik Alvin had 14 points and Emanuel Mayben scored 10.
R.J. Hall led Marist (5-9) with 20 points. Ryan Schneider scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Red Foxes and Dejuan Goodwin added 12 points.
It was the first game between the two teams and the last non-conference game for Binghamton before its America East opener at Maine on Saturday.
Marist returns to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play Friday with a home game against St. Peter’s.
