Cornell beats BU 89-59
ITHACA, N.Y. (AP)—Jeff Foote had 19 points and 11 rebounds, Alex Tyler had 14 points and four blocked shots, and Cornell beat Boston University 89-59 on Monday night.
Ryan Wittman finished with 12 points and Louis Dale 10 for the Big Red (6-6).
Corey Lowe led Boston University (5-6) with 14 points and Tyler Morris added 13.
Foote, who hit all eight shots he attempted, set up Tyler for a jumper 14 seconds into the opening half as the Big Red scored the first 13 points of the game to take command.
Tyler then fed Foote for a resounding dunk, Wittman drained a 3-pointer, and Foote followed with two more dunks before Matt Wolff converted a three-point play for BU’s first points.
Cornell led 48-29 at halftime and hit 12-of-22 3-pointers while holding the Terriers to 4-of-20 shooting from beyond the arc.
