MOBILE, Ala. (AP)—Domonic Tilford scored 19 points and South Alabama rallied from a 10-point deficit in the first half to defeat Spring Hill 88-56 on Sunday.
The Jaguars (8-5), who took their first lead early in the second half, broke open a 41-40 contest against the NAIA Division I Badgers with a 20-0 spurt.
Spring Hill (5-3), which counted the game as an exhibition, had jumped out to a 29-19 lead—sparked by the 3-point shooting of Marcus Coleman—and led 33-31 at halftime.
Coleman finished the game shooting 10 of 18 from beyond the arc for 30 points, but the Badgers wound up making only 19 of 66 shots from the floor (28.8 percent).
South Alabama committed a season-low five turnovers.
Brandon Davis added 13 points for the Jaguars, while LaShun Watson had 12 and C.J. Garner chipped in a season-high 11.
Jeremy Price added 10 points for Spring Hill.
