NORFOLK, Va. (AP)—Gerald Lee scored 16 points to lift Old Dominion to a 66-56 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Monday night.
The win was the sixth straight victory for the Monarchs (7-3). Lee also finished with nine rebounds and three blocked shots. Ben Finney added 14 points, eight rebounds and a season-high five steals.
Neal Pitt paced the Hawks (1-7) with 19 points on 8 of 20 shooting. Keishawn Mayes chipped in with 14 points and 14 rebounds.
The Hawks were outscored in the paint 34-18. Old Dominion also outrebounded the Hawks 44-34.
The Monarchs shot only 21.4 percent from 3-point range (3-for-14), but scored 23 points off of the Hawks’ 22 turnovers. They finished with 15 steals and 12 blocks as a team.
