Manhattan beats Binghamton 86-80

VESTAL, N.Y. (AP)—Darryl Crawford scored 29 points, including 10 from the foul line, as Manhattan beat Binghamton 86-80 on Saturday.

Antoine Pearson and Chris Smith added 16 points apiece for the Jaspers (6-3), who shot 45.3 percent from the floor and made 31-of-45 free throw attempts. The pace of the game was slowed by a total of 52 fouls and 75 free throw attempts.

D.J. Rivera led Binghamton (4-4) with 23 points. Dwayne Jackson added 17, while Emanuel Mayben and Reggie Fuller scored 11 a piece for the Bearcats.

Binghamton had built a 38-29 lead with 2:03 left in the first half before Manhattan ended it with a 9-0 run that made it 38-38 at the break. The game was tied 72-72 with 5 minutes left, but Manhattan responded with four free throws in a 45-second span and never relinquished the lead.

The Bearcats shot 50 percent from the floor and made 25-of-30 free throws.
