NEWARK, N.J. (AP)—Leroy Nobles hit a driving layup that bounced in as the buzzer sounded to give IUPUI a 67-65 win over Seton Hall on Saturday night.
Jeremy Hazell had hit a 3-pointer to tie the game for Seton Hall with 14 seconds left, but Nobles—who had hit two key free throws just seconds earlier — then drove the lane and saw his shot bounce around the rim and then stop for a second before it went in.
Alex Young had 18 points and Billy Pettiford added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Jaguars (6-4), who never trailed and beat a Big East opponent for the first time. Hazell had 20 points for the Pirates (8-2), while Jordan Theodore scored 13 and Robert Mitchell added 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.
The loss snapped Seton Hall’s five-game winning streak.
