ELON, N.C. (AP)—Ola Atoyebi scored 21 points and was one of four Elon players to score in double figures in an 81-52 win against Lees-McRae on Friday night.
Brett James scored 16 points, Devan Carter added 12 and Chris Long chipped in with 11 for the Phoenix (3-4).
Atoyebi also grabbed 10 rebounds and tallied four blocks.
Kyle Boardman led the Bobcats (0-11) with 11 points and Aaron Woodacre added 10, including shooting 3-for-6 from beyond the arc.
The game stayed close in the opening minutes until Elon went on a 13-3 run that started with 12:55 left in the first half. The Phoenix continued their domination in the second half, outscoring the Bobcats 37-20 in the frame.
The Phoenix shot 52.3 percent from the field (34 of 65) in the game compared to a 28.6 percent mark (18 of 63) for the Bobcats.
