Wofford routs Union, Ky. 82-41
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP)—Junior Salters scored 25 points and Wofford routed Union College of Kentucky 82-41 on Wednesday night.
The Terriers (4-3) held Union to one point in the first 10 minutes while building a 19-1 lead. Union, an NAIA Division II school that counted the game as an exhibition, cut the lead to 11, but Wofford went on a 10-0 run and led 36-15 at halftime.
The Terriers led by as many as 44 points in the second half.
Wofford made 31 of 64 shots in the game (48.4 percent), including 8 of 18 shots from 3-point range. Union made 16 of 40 shots from the field (40 percent), but only 3 of 17 from beyond the arc (17.6 percent).
Union committed 27 turnovers, compared to 15 for Wofford.
Noah Dahlman added 14 points for Wofford and Corey Godzinski had 10.
Kearney Demus led the Bulldogs with 10 points.
