NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)—Alex Renfroe scored a game-high 25 points and was one of four Belmont players to score in double figures in an 82-69 win against Middle Tennessee on Wednesday night.
Andy Wicke scored 22 points, Matthew Dotson added 15 and Shane Dansby chipped in with 10 for the Bruins (4-3). Renfroe was 11-for-13 from the free-throw line, and Wicke was 6-for-10 from beyond the arc.
Four players also scored in double digits for the Blue Raiders (4-5), as Kevin Kanaskie tallied 15 points, Demetrius Green added 14 and Montarrio Haddock and Desmond Yates poured in 13 apiece.
Belmont stayed ahead throughout the game, including a 44-31 halftime lead over Middle Tennessee.
Each team grabbed 28 rebounds in the contest, but the Bruins hit 12 of 28 3-pointers compared to a 6-of-15 mark for the Blue Raiders.
