HIGH POINT, N.C. (AP)—Junior Hairston scored 17 points to lead Towson to a 71-57 victory over High Point on Saturday night.
Hairston also grabbed seven rebounds and blocked four shots for the Tigers (5-5). Troy Franklin had 15 points and four steals.
The Panthers (4-6) were paced by Eugene Harris, who finished with 15 points and three steals. Alquan Mendenhall chipped in with 14 points in 14 minutes and shot 4-for-7 from 3-point range.
The Tigers led most of the contest and claimed a 21-point lead at halftime.
Towson scored 37 points in the paint, while High Point managed only 22. The Tigers also managed 19 fast break points.
Towson shot 48.1 percent from the field (25-for-52), and High Point shot 37.1 percent (23-for-62).
