LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. (AP)—Patrick Mansell came off the bench to score 12 points on four 3-pointers as Rider pulled away for a 66-54 win over Monmouth (N.J.) Wednesday night.
With the game tied at 41 with 8:24 to play, Mansell hit back-to-back 3-pointers to trigger an 8-0 run that gave Rider the lead for good. The Broncs (5-2) eventually built the margin to 60-45 with two minutes left.
Ryan Thompson also had 12 points for Rider, while Harris Mansell and Novar Gadson had 10 apiece.
Travis Taylor scored a career-high 21 points for Monmouth (1-10) to lead all scorers.
Rider forced 21 Monmouth turnovers and scored 23 points off turnovers.
