PORTLAND, Ore. (AP)—Jamie Jones had 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead Portland State to a 77-66 victory over Lewis & Clark on Tuesday.
Andre Murray added 16 points for the Vikings (7-1), who are off to their best start in 32 years. Mickey Polis added 14 points off the bench.
David Berggren led the Division III Pioneers (4-2) with 14 points.
Lewis & Clark held a surprising 16-10 lead midway through the first half, but the Vikings went on 13-0 run and were never challenged again.
Portland State outrebounded the smaller Pioneers 53-24 to win its 14th consecutive home game.
A finger injury sidelined Portland State point guard Jeremiah Dominguez for the second straight game. He was MVP of the Big Sky Conference last season.
