Seton Hall tops Cal Baptist 92-80

NEWARK, N.J. (AP)—Jeremy Hazell and Eugene Harvey each scored 25 points, including the 1,000th point of Harvey?s career, leading Seton Hall to a 92-80 victory over California Baptist Tuesday night.

The win was the fourth in a row for Seton Hall (7-1), which also received 18 points from Robert Mitchell.

Cal Baptist, which was the No. 1-ranked NAIA team before losing to Azusa Pacific on Saturday, fell to 8-2 overall. The Lancers had five players in double figures, led by Robert Rose with 18 and Mark Roussin with 17.

The Pirates started strong, outscoring the visitors 12-2 over the first 3:15. Hazell scored the first five points of the game and Paul Gause (11 points) capped the run with a 3-point play.

The Lancers methodically climbed back and took a 36-34 lead with 2:25 remaining in the first half on two free throws from Omar Krayem. The Pirates regained the lead on a 3-pointer by Mitchell and led 45-39 at halftime.

Cal Baptist rallied again, taking a 59-56 lead with 11:58 remaining. But the Pirates took command from that point, outscoring the Lancers 19-9 over the next four minutes.
