ELON, N.C. (AP)—Antwaine Wiggins scored 20 points to lead the College of Charleston past Elon 77-69 on Thursday night.
Andrew Goudelock added 19 points and Jermaine Johnson contributed 12 for the Cougars (6-1, 1-0 Southern Conference).
The Cougars went to the free-throw line 22 times, hitting 18 shots, including 10 of 11 for Goudelock.
College of Charleston was 25-for-52 from the field, including 5 of 7 for Johnson, who had 10 rebounds.
Elon (1-4) had four players in double figures with Ola Atoyebi leading the way with 15 points. Brett James added 14, T.J. Douglas had 11 and Chris Long contributed 10.
