OMAHA, Neb. (AP)—P’Allen Stinnett scored 18 points as Creighton snapped a two-game losing skid with an 82-58 victory over winless Mississippi Valley State on Tuesday.
The sophomore guard, who didn’t play in the Bluejays’ last-second loss to rival Nebraska Saturday because of a “coach’s decision,” came off the bench to hit six of his 10 shots to lead three Creighton players in double figures.
Creighton (4-2) scored 21 points off those takeaways and had 51 points from its bench.
Tashan Newsome had 22 points for MVSU (0-9) to lead all scorers. Dwayne Harmason added 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Delta Devils, who have played all nine of their games away from home.
Booker Woodfox had 14 points and Kenton Walker had a double-double for Creighton with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
