Bucknell outlasts Old Dominion 83-82 in 2OTs
LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP)—Justin Castleberry scored seven points in the second overtime, including a decisive layup with 16 seconds left, and finished with 31 points as Bucknell beat Old Dominion 83-82 Tuesday night.
Patrick Behan scored 16 points, Darryl Shazier 14, and Bryan Cohen 12 as Bucknell (1-3) snapped a three-game losing streak.
Gerald Lee scored 26 points, Frank Hassel added 20 points and 11 rebounds and Kent Bazemore scored 10 for Old Dominion (1-2). The Monarchs rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit and used a free throw by Hassel with 37 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
In the first extra period, ODU’s Lee hit a free throw with just over a minute remaining, and neither team was able to break the deadlock.
In the second overtime, Castleberry hit a 3-pointer, two free throws and the deciding layup in the final minute to help secure the win.
