WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP)—Jaret von Rosenberg scored 24 points and Joe Zeglinski added 22 to help Hartford pull away from St. Francis of New York 91-82 in two overtimes Saturday.
Morgan Sabia added 15 points and freshman Genesis Maciel had 13 as the Hawks (1-3) picked up their first win of the season.
Jamaal Womak led five players in double figures for St. Francis with 17 points. Stefan Perunicic and Kayode Ayeni each added 16 for the Terriers (0-3).
Womack missed a 3-pointer with 4 seconds left that sent the game into overtime tied at 66. St. Ricky Cadell made a jumper for St. Francis with 26 seconds left in the first OT to tie the game at 79.
The Hawks dominated the second overtime, outscoring the Terriers 12-3. They were led by von Rosenberg, who had seven points in the final frame.
Zeglinski, a junior, finished just three-points shy of 1,000 for his career.
