Jacksonville St. beats Georgia St. 82-73 in 2OT
ATLANTA (AP)—Geddes Robinson scored 24 points and Jacksonville State made seven straight down the stretch to beat Georgia State 82-73 in double overtime on Saturday.
Georgia State (2-3) committed 20 turnovers, including two by Chris Echols in the game’s closing minutes.
Ahead by one point in the second overtime, Jacksonville State’s Stephen Hall stole the ball from Echols and dunked it for a 69-66 advantage with 2:21 left in the game. After an Echols turnover, Geddes Robinson scored on a layup with 1:08 left to give Jacksonville State a 73-68 lead.
Jacksonville State’s Jeremy Bynum sent the game into overtime when he hit a layup as time expired.
Georgia State was led by Trae Goldston and Joe Dukes with 21 points each.
