PROVO, Utah (AP)—Lee Cummard scored 28 points and center Chris Miles added a career-high 24 as BYU beat Cal Poly 76-64 on Saturday.
Miles had 18 points in the first half and Cummard had 17 in the second to help the Cougars (5-0) extend the nation’s longest home win streak to 51 games.
Cal Poly (1-3) cut BYU’s 18-point lead to six with 9:15 to play, but Cummard stopped the Mustang run with a short jumper and a 3-pointer.
Titus Shelton scored a career-high 22 points for Cal Poly and added three rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocked shots.
Shawn Lewis also reached a career high for the Mustangs with 15 points.
The victory gave BYU a sweep of its three games in the Basketball Travelers Invitational. Cal Poly won one of three during the round-robin event hosted by the Cougars.
