JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP)—Courtney Pigram tallied a triple-double as East Tennessee State defeated Wingate 96-66 on Thursday night.
Pigram scored 21 points, while dishing out 10 assists and grabbing 10 rebounds to become the second player in school history to record a triple-double.
Kevin Tiggs also scored 21 points for East Tennessee State (2-2) as Seth Coy and Mike Smith had 18 and 12 points, respectively. The Buccaneers out rebounded Wingate (0-2) 42-27 with Pigram leading the way followed by Isiah Brown with seven boards.
Jamie Vaughn led Wingate with 16 points, followed by Kenny Villines with 10.
