BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP)—Nate Miller scored 18 points as Bowling Green came out strong in the second half, pulling away from Wayne State to win 80-48 on Thursday night.
Bowling Green (3-1) led by three with about eight minutes left in the first half when Brian Moten hit a 3-pointer to kick off a 16-2 run. The Falcons kept their double digit lead early in the second half, and Erik Marschall made a layup that started a 22-2 run that made it 69-36 with 6:17 left.
Shane Lawal scored 16 points and Bryan Wright added 12 for Wayne State (1-1).
Marschall scored 14 points and Moten and Darryl Clements each had 11 points for Bowling Green. Miller added eight rebounds as the Falcons had 44 rebounds to the Warriors’ 30.
