NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP)—Northwestern State blocked 12 shots as it defeated East Texas Baptist 87-68 Tuesday night.
Northwestern State (1-1) ran out to a 36-18 lead at halftime thanks to 5 of 33 shooting by East Texas Baptist (1-1).
Four players scored in double figures for Northwestern State as Darius Richardson led the way with 14 points. Devin White added 12 points, and Deivida Petravicius and Michael McConathy each had 10.
White also added eight rebounds and five blocks.
For East Texas Baptist, Jeremiah Pojah and Cameron Dossey scored 11 points each. East Texas Baptist shot just 28 percent (21 of 75).
