STILLWATER, Okla. (AP)—Byron Eaton scored a career-high 27 points and Oklahoma State pulled away from Texas-San Antonio in the second half to win Travis Ford’s debut as head coach 76-57 Friday night.
Terrel Harris added 15 of his 20 points in the second half, and the Cowboys used a 12-0 run shortly after halftime to take control of the game.
Harris then had all of Oklahoma State’s points in an 8-2 spurt that pushed the lead to 53-34 midway through the second half.
The Roadrunners got hot from 3-point range and closed to within 10 points after that, but Eaton closed the door by scoring the next five points.
Devin Gibson and Travis Gabbidon led UTSA with 14 points apiece, and Omar Johnson scored 13.
