LOS ANGELES (AP)—Deon Tresvant scored all of his 21 points in the second half while Jonathan Heard scored 19 and Calvin Chitwood added 17 Saturday to lead Cal State Northridge to a 97-67 victory over Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Northridge (20-9, 12-4) made a season-high 16 3-pointers. Tresvant, Chitwood and Josh Jenkins combined for 14 3-pointers. Jenkins scored 14 of his 16 points in the first half.

The Matadors earned the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament and won’t play until Friday’s semifinals.

Titus Shelton eight of his 12 points in the first half for Cal Poly (12-17, 7-9). Trae Clark scored nine of his 11 points in the first half, and Shawn Lewis scored seven of his 10 points in the first half. The Mustangs shot 64 percent from the field in the first half and trailed 45-38. They shot 26 percent in the second half. Northridge shot 57 percent in the first half and 63 percent in the second half.

The Mustangs led by as much as seven points in the first half before Northridge made six consecutive 3-pointers, including three by Chitwood, in the half’s final 5:09 to cap a 22-10 run.

Tresvant made two 3-pointers as part of a decisive 10-0 that put Northridge ahead by double-digits to stay with 15:04 to play.
