Tribe rallies past Drexel, 57-50
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP)—Laimis Kisielius scored 10 of his 12 points in the second half and William & Mary erased a halftime deficit and beat Drexel 57-50 on Wednesday night.
The Tribe (14-12, 10-6 Colonial Athletic Association) trailed 25-22 at the break, but went ahead to stay on Marcus Kitts’ only basket of the game with 13:22 to go. That sparked a 7-0 run and William & Mary’s lead was cut to 2 just once thereafter.
Drexel (11-17, 4-12) got 14 points from Tramayne Hawthorne, but was outrebound 32-27, including a 10-4 edge on the offensive end. The Tribe had 13 second chance points.
Nathan Mann led William & Mary with 13 points and Kisielius, Davis Schneider and Danny Sumner each added 12.
