Lisch leads Saint Louis over Fordham 69-65 in OT

ST. LOUIS (AP)—Kevin Lisch scored 16 of his team-high 22 points after halftime as Saint Louis downed Fordham 69-65 in overtime Wednesday night in an Atlantic-10 Conference matchup.

Tommie Liddell III added a double-double for Saint Louis with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Billikens (15-11, 6-6) trailed by 10 early in the second half before using an 11-1 run to get back into the game, winning for the third time in four games.

The Rams (10-13, 4-7) got a season-high 30 points and 13 rebounds from Bryant Dunston, and Mike Moore added 11 points for the Rams.

With the Rams leading 37-30, Saint Louis used a 7-0 run on baskets by Luke Meyer, a 3-pointer by Lisch and a game-tying lay-up from Liddell to tie the game 37-37. Neither team would lead by more than five points the rest of the way.

The Billikens led 55-50 late when Fordham went to Dunston, who scores seven points in a row for his team, including a three-point play with 21.9 seconds left in regulation to pull the Rams within one at 57-56.

After Lisch knocked down a pair of free throws, Marcus Stout, who had 10 points in the game, hit a game-tying 3-pointer with 4.3 seconds left to send the game into overtime tied 59-all.

The Billikens trailed 63-62 when Barry Eberhardt’s 3-pointer with 1:26 to play in overtime gave Saint Louis the lead for good.
