Tyndale’s 22 points lead Temple over St. Bonaventure, 96-82
OLEAN, N.Y. (AP)—Mark Tyndale scored 22 points to lead five players in double figures Wednesday as Temple defeated St. Bonaventure 96-82 in Atlantic 10 Conference play.
Tyndale added eight rebounds and nine assists for the Owls (14-11, 7-4 A10). Dionte Christmas and Chris Clark each scored 20 points. Christmas added seven assists. Ryan Brooks and Lavoy Allen had 15 and 14 points, respectively.
For the Bonnies (7-18, 1-10), Michael Lee scored a game-high 23 points. Tyler Relph added 19 points and seven rebounds. Zarryon Fereti had 15 points and Matt Morgan had 13.
After trailing by as much as 19 points in the first half, the Bonnies cut the deficit to four with 15:21 remaining in the game. The Owls went on a 23-9 run to take a 76-58 lead with 7:50 to play for their largest lead in the second half.
St. Bonaventure would pull within nine points with 3:04 to play.
