DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP)—Reserve Will Archambault scored a career-high 28 points, Stephen Curry had 26, and Davidson won its 15th straight game Saturday with an 86-51 victory over Furman.
Archambault hit 11 of 14 shots, including a 5-for-8 performance from 3-point range, all in 20 minutes for the Wildcats (19-6, 17-0 Southern Conference), who also won their 27th straight Southern Conference regular season game. That ties a league mark set by Davidson on two other occasions.
Curry hit half of his 16 field goal attempts, and was 5 of 9 from beyond the arc to move into second place as the school’s all-time leading scorer.
The Wildcats hit 11 of 24 3-point tries.
Davidson settled the contest early, racing out to a 19-0 lead that forced Furman (5-20, 4-12) to burn three 30-second time outs. Furman didn’t score until the 11:56 mark of the first half, and managed just 8-for-24 shooting in the period.
Andrew Lovedale scored 14 for Davidson, hitting six of the eight shots he attempted.
George Brozos scored 14 for Furman and Connor Nolte added 13.
