Saint Louis defeats Richmond in A-10
RICHMOND, Va. (AP)—Kevin Lisch and Danny Brown each scored 14 points to lead St. Louis to a 64-55 victory over Richmond on Sunday in an Atlantic 10 matchup.
Lisch, Brown and Tommie Liddell III each had four points during the Billikens’ 16-6 run over the final 4:15, eroding a 49-48 Richmond lead. Lisch began the Billikens’ final push with two free throws, and St. Louis scored in eight of its final nine possessions.
St. Louis (13-10, 4-5 Atlantic 10) had a 28-21 halftime lead, which was bolstered by a nearly eight-minute stretch in which it held the Spiders scoreless. In the second half, the Spiders were without a field goal for 5:29, as the teams moved from a tie at 35 to a 46-37 St. Louis lead.
The Billikens had a 41-27 edge on the boards, including Bryce Husak’s career-high nine rebounds. St. Louis had 13 offensive rebounds, outscoring Richmond 17-4 in second-chance points.
