Curry scores 24 points to help Davidson win 78-71
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP)—Stephen Curry scored 24 points and grabbed three rebounds to lead Davidson to a 78-71 win over Chattanooga Saturday night.
Jason Richards added 15 points and five rebounds, and Will Archambault contributed 14 points for the Wildcats (15-6, 13-0 Southern Conference).
Davidson dominated in the first half, leading 48-24 at halftime, but the Mocs (14-8, 9-3) came back in the second to lead 47-30.
It wasn’t enough to capture a win for Chattanooga, whose largest lead of 2 points was early in the first half. Davidson led by as much as 24 points late in the first half.
Nicchaeus Doaks led the Mocs with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Other double-digit scorers included Kevin Bridgewaters with 15 points, Marcus Watts with 11 and Stephen McDowell with 10.
