LOS ANGELES (AP)—Jonathan Heard scored 16 points and Deon Tresvant scored all 14 of his points in the second half to lead Cal State Northridge to a 78-61 victory Saturday over Pacific.

After missing all 12 of their 3-point attempts in the first half, the Matadors (12-3, 4-0 Big West) made eight in a row to erase a nine-point deficit.

Tresvant and Josh Jenkins made three 3s each and Rob Haynes made two as the Matadors went on a 35-14 run that gave them a 46-43 lead.

The Tigers (11-5, 2-1) would get no closer than 10 after that as Northridge won its fifth in a row and beat Pacific for just the fourth time in 18 meetings.

Jenkins scored 11 points for the Matadors and Calvin Chitwood scored 10 points before leaving with an ankle injury.

Pacific got 21 points from Steffan Johnson, 14 points from Anthony Brown and 12 points from Troyer.

The Tigers held a 39-28 rebound advantage but went 8-for-24 from behind the arc and 9-for-20 from the line.
