JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP)—Travis Strong scored 13 of his 16 points in the final seven minutes to rally ETSU to a 74-69 last minute win over Campbell on Thursday night.
After four ties and six lead changes, Strong shot a 3-pointer with under a minute left to give ETSU (8-7, Atlantic Sun 2-0) the final lead. Strong added four straight free throws to finish the game.
ETSU trailed behind Campbell (5-9, 1-2) for the first half, but then pulled its starting five players and emptied the bench just after halftime.
The starters were given a chance to regroup and went on a 18-7 run to tie the game at 58-58 with 7:34 remaining. Courtney Pigram added 23 points and Mike Smith had 10 for ETSU.
Jonathan Rodriguez shot a game-high 25 points for the Camels, who shot 43 percent from the field. Kyle Vejraska shot 16 points, Jake Wohlfeil added 15 and Reggie Bishop added 11. ^
