OLEAN, N.Y. (AP)Michael Lee scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead St. Bonaventure to a 65-62 win over Bucknell Saturday.
Zarryon Fereti added 21 points and six rebounds for the Bonnies. Tyler Benson scored seven points and had six rebounds.
Justin Castleberry led Bucknell (5-9) with 22 points, 18 of them from beyond the arc. Stephen Tyree added 10 for the Bisons. St. Bonevanture held Bucknell’s leading scorer—John Griffin, who’s averaging 13.2 points per game—to four points.
Down eight with just over six minutes left, the Bonnies went on a 9-0 run to take a 56-55 lead with 3:46 remaining.
With 19 seconds remaining, Lee took a pass from Fereti in the paint, got fouled and hit the layup. Lee converted the free throw to give St. Bonaventure (6-8) a 64-62 lead it would not relinquish.
