NORMAL, Ill. (AP)—Levi Dyer and Osiris Eldridge came off the bench to lead Illinois State to a 56-47 victory over Southern Illinois on Saturday.
Dyer had 14 points, including four 3-pointers, and five rebounds. Eldridge, who had three 3-pointers, added 13 points for the Redbirds (11-3 3-0).
Anthony Slack pulled down six rebounds for Illinois State, which led 31-13 at the half and snapped an 11-game losing streak against Southern Illinois (6-8 1-2).
The Redbirds were 21-for-50 from the field, or 42 percent, compared with Southern Illinois’ 13-for-50 from the field, or 26 percent.
Matt Shaw had a game-high 15 points, including two 3-pointers, and was the top rebounder with 18 for the Salukis. Randal Falker chipped in 13 points and had eight rebounds.
