UC Davis 62, Cal State Bakersfield 59

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP)—Sophomore forward Shane Hanson scored 23 points, including five three-pointers, as UC Davis held on for a 62-59 victory over Cal State Bakersfield Wednesday.

Kyle Brucculeri added 15 points and six rebounds while Vince Oliver chipped in 11 points and six assists for the Aggies (6-7).

A dunk, three-pointer and a pair of free throws accounted for a 7-0 UC Davis run midway through the second half as the Aggies opened up a 56-46 lead with 3:59 remaining.

Bakersfield (3-11) made a run in the final minute as a layup and free throw by Donavan Bragg brought the Roadrunners to within three with 27 seconds remaining. But following an Aggie turnover, a trio of three-point attempts to tie the game fell short as time expired.

Terrance Johns and Demarcus Hall tallied 14 points apiece to lead Bakersfield. Alex Johnson added 11 points and six assists.
