DENVER (AP)—Kyle Lewis scored 19 points, including four 3-pointers, to help Denver to a 66-50 victory over Louisiana-Monroe on Wednesday night.
David Kummer added 13 points and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds for the Pioneers (6-7, 2-0 Sun Belt). He led the team with five assists.
The Warhawks (6-8, 0-2) trailed 25-18 at the break but came within five points early in the second half. Denver responded with an 8-3 run to go ahead 33-23 with 16:34 remaining. The Pioneers led by as many as 19 points in the second half.
Jordan Payne led Louisiana-Monroe with 19 points, while Jonas Brown scored 15 points.
