LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP)—Bert Whittington IV scored 20 points and Jerome Tillman added 11, leading Ohio to a 53-47 victory over Bucknell on Wednesday night.
Both teams struggled with their shooting in the first half. Ohio (9-4) shot 6-for-24 from the field, while Bucknell (5-8) made just two of 17 field goal attempts. The Bison were helped by 10-for-12 shooting from the line in the opening half as the teams finished the half tied at 16.
Leon Williams chipped in with 10 points for Ohio, which shot 12-for-21 in the second half and 18-for-45 in the game.
Justin Castleberry’s 11 points paced Bucknell, which shot 9-for-25 in the second half and 11-for-42 (26 percent) overall.
