CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP)—Vaughn Duggins scored 22 points and Todd Brown added 21 points and 9 rebounds to lead Wright State to an 87-82 victory over Chattanooga Sunday night in the championship game of the Dr. Pepper Classic.
The Raiders (8-3) got 16 points from Troy Tabler and 14 from Jordan Pleiman.
Stephen McDowell led the Mocs (8-5) with 21 points while Khalil Hartwell added 13 and Kevin Bridgewater 10.
The Raiders surged to a 40-34 halftime lead. Duggins 3-pointer gave Wright State a 66-41 lead with 13:04 remaining before the Mocs made a late rally that saw the4 deficit reduced to 85-82 before Scottie Wilson hit two free throws for the Raiders with a second remaing.
