FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP)—Zach Filzen scored 20 of his game-high 25 points in the first half and Kyle Landry had 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting to lead Northern Arizona to a 85-51 win over Cal Poly on Sunday.
NAU (5-4) led by five late in the first half when Filzen, a true freshman, scored six straight points.
NAU went on to outscore the Mustangs 21-3 in the final 8:01 and took a 48-25 halftime lead.
Nate Geiser had 10 points for NAU.
Trae Clark led Cal Poly (4-4) with 11 points, while Matt Hanson and Dawin Whitten had 10 points each.
