NEW ORLEANS (AP)—Bo McCalebb scored 18 points in 21 minutes as New Orleans beat Loyola of New Orleans 82-51 on Saturday.
Kyndall Dykes, who missed the Privateers’ previous two games with an ankle injury, added 17 points in 18 minutes for UNO (5-1).
Torry Beaulieu had 12 points to pace the Wolfpack (7-2).
McCalebb and Dykes combined for 21 points in the first half, as UNO jumped out to a 44-27 lead. The Privateers shot 60 percent during the half and scored 15 points off 10 Loyola turnovers.
Leading 14-12 at the 11:41 mark, UNO broke the game open with a quick 8-0 spurt to grab a 25-12 lead with 9:37 left. The Privateers stretched the lead to as many as 22 during the frame.
The Privateers scored the first seven points of the second half to make it 52-27. UNO led by as many as 38 midway through the second half.
