ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP)—Sophomore guard Jeremy Goode had 14 points and four steals, and Mount St. Mary’s had a 62-58 victory over Navy in a nonconference men’s basketball game Monday night.

The Mount (2-4) never trailed, took advantage of the Midshipmen’s early shooting woes and opened the game on a 13-0 run. Navy (3-7), which was led by senior Greg Sprink with 16 points and a team-high nine rebounds, clawed back and cut Mount St. Mary’s lead to one point twice in the first half before going into the break trailing, 32-29.

The Mount started the second half shooting 3-of-23 from the field but converted enough free throws down the stretch to hold on for the win.
