Brown never trails in 73-57 win over UC Davis
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP)—Mark McAndrew scored 18 points as Brown never trailed in a 73-57 win over UC Davis on Saturday night.
Damon Huffman and Chris Skrelja each added 15 for the Bears (4-3), who held the Aggies scoreless for the first 4:24 of the game.
UC Davis (3-3) tied the game at 17-17 on a 3-point shot by David Carter with 7:25 remaining in the first half, but Brown went on an 18-11 run to take a 35-28 halftime lead.
Freshman guard Ryan Silva went 3-of-8 on 3-pointers and finished with 13 points to pace the Aggies.
The Bears hit 50 percent from the floor for the game and limited the Aggies to 26 percent shooting in the second half as Brown pulled ahead by as many as 15, 55-40, on Adrian Williams two free throws with 10:04 left.
Huffman made three 3-point shots and Skrelja sank 9 of 10 from the free throw line in addition to knocking down 3 of 6 field goal attempts.
