DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP)—Jimmy Hudson scored 20 points and John Holmes added 10 as Bethune-Cookman beat Florida A&M 62-46 on Saturday.
Bethune-Cookman (2-4) took the lead in the final minute of the first half and never gave it up. A 12-0 run in the early part of the second half helped Bethune-Cookman move from a 28-25 halftime edge to control the game the rest of the way.
Oliver Prince was the only player in double figures for the Rattlers (2-5). Prince finished with 14 points.
Bethune-Cookman’s defense limited Florida A&M to 33 percent shooting in the second half and 40 percent for the game.
Bethune-Cookman shot 51.1 percent for the game.
