UC Santa Barbara 63, Nevada-Las Vegas 60

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP)—James Powell made a fall-away 3-pointer with 0.4 seconds left to cap UC Santa Barbara’s 63-60 comeback victory over Nevada-Las Vegas Tuesday night.

Alex Harris scored 16 of his game-high 19 points while Powell got all of his 15 during a second-half rally when the Gauchos (6-1) recovered from a 13-point deficit.

The Rebels (4-2) pulled ahead 44-31 with 12:16 to go on a steal and layup by Curtis Terry. He and Wink Adams led UNLV with 11 points each.

But Powell sparked the comeback by making a career-high five 3-pointers, all in the second half.

UCSB shot just 20.7 percent in the first half to trail 26-16. But the Gauchos got a boost by making 10-of-13 3-pointers in the second half.
