VESTAL, N.Y. (AP)—Tristan Blackwood’s sixth 3-pointer of the game with 11 seconds left in overtime lifted Central Connecticut State to a 68-65 win over Binghamton Tuesday night.
Blackwood, who scored 17 of his 20 points in the second half, teamed with Ken Horton (21 points) to form a potent inside-outside game for the Blue Devils (1-3).
Senior guard Richard Forbes nearly lifted the Bearcats (1-3) with his shooting. Forbes scored a game-high 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting. He sank a 3-pointer with 37 seconds left in regulation and swished in another 3 with 43 seconds left in overtime to tie the score at 65-65.
After Blackwood hit the game-winner, Forbes had one last shot with four seconds left, but his 3-point attempt was long.
Lazar Trifunovic had 17 points and 15 rebounds for Binghamton.
