NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP)—Mike Christensen scored a game-high 23 points and New Hampshire shot 14-for-26 from 3-point range for a 78-70 win over Central Connecticut State on Saturday night.
Tristan Blackwood led central with 19 points.
Central (0-3) used an 8-0 run to pull within 70-67 with 2:30 to play, but Christensen and Tyrece hit 3-pointers around a free throw to give the Wildcats (2-1) a 76-68 lead.
New Hampshire made 6-of-9 3-pointers in the first half for a 40-33 halftime lead.
Alvin Abreu scored 14 and Gibbs finished with 13 for New Hampshire.
