NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP)—Matt Kingsley scored 22 points, pulled down 13 rebounds and had two blocked shots to lead Stephen F. Austin to a 70-55 victory over Jackson State on Tuesday night.
Eddie Williams added 16 points off the bench and had three steals for the Lumberjacks (2-0).
Catraiva Givens led Jackson State (0-2) with 14 points. Darrion Griffin added 13 and Grant Maxey scored 12 and had a team-high seven rebounds.
Jackson State led by five points midway through the first half, but Stephen F. Austin came back to lead at halftime, 36-25, thanks to shooting nearly 47 percent from the field for the half. Jackson State shot only 31 percent for the game and was outrebounded 43-34.
