BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP)—Roderick Wilmont scored 20 points and Lance Stemler and Joey Shaw each added 14 as Indiana defeated Western Illinois 92-40 on Wednesday night.
Jerryck Owens-Murrey led Western Illinois with 10 points.
The Hoosiers made a season-high 13 3-pointers, eclipsing the 10 they made against North Carolina-Charlotte in their previous game. Indiana hit 16 3-pointers against Western Illinois last season.
Indiana (5-2) looked sharp in its tuneup for Saturday’s game at Kentucky. The Hoosiers shot 47 percent from the field, committed just three turnovers and held the Leathernecks (3-5) to 29 percent shooting.
Indiana also outrebounded Western Illinois 43-33. The Hoosiers have outrebounded all seven of their opponents this season.
